AI Retail Tool Iconography for NRF (The National Retail Federation Conference)

Avanade demoed four AI retail tools at NRF, the 2024 National Retail Federation Exposition. I led the design of a set of icons to visualize each tool. 

  1. Lead to Sale: Leverages real-time customer data and AI-driven insights to create targeted ads, enabling smarter, faster campaign decisions that turn potential lost sales into conversions.

  2. Shopper Copilot: Enables customers to conversationally search for products. Driving conversions, increasing average order value, and enhancing efficiency — transforming how brands compete and customers shop.

  3. Magic Try-On: Transforms online shopping by integrating garments directly into your social media photos for virtual try-ons. This solution enhances buyer confidence, boosts brand loyalty, reduces return costs, and delivers hyper-personalized experiences at scale.

  4. Clienteling Copilot: Helps store associates provide the best in-store experiences, by enabling seamless data visibility across the retail value chain and simplifying workflows for in-store teams.

Customer Journey:

Ron receives an email with a promotion from Oltiva, a fictional high-end department store. Oltiva has used the Al capabilities of Sitecore Stream and the Microsoft ecosystem to plan and execute a promotional campaign targeting customer segments who haven't purchased in the last 60 days with an exclusive last-minute holiday shopping promotion. Ron finds the perfect item for his brother - and it can be delivered the next day. Win!

Shopper Copilot

Next up, Ron sets about finding the perfect gift for his parents. They've recently retired, and they love spending time hiking and visiting national parks. Using Oltiva's Shopper Copilot tool, Ron gets recommended gifts for his parents, as well as related items that are perfect for stocking fillers. Two down!

Magic Try-on

Ron checks his list - now things get more difficult. His teenage niece. Ron is a little out of his comfort zone, but he uses Shopper Copilot to make a few recommendations. Based on the music she likes, Shopper Copilot suggests some oversized hoodies. Ron uses the Magic Try On app to see which hoodie would suit his niece. He reviews the options in the context of his niece's recent Instagram photos and makes his selection. That's three sorted!

The final item on Ron’s list is for his partner. This year will be their 10th holiday season together, so he needs something special to mark the occasion. Ron is considering a watch for his partner, but he's not sure which brand or the right style. As chance would have it, Oltiva has just sent him an exclusive promo code for in-store use...

Clienteling Copilot

The following day, he heads into his local Oltiva store and seeks out a customer assistant for advice. The Oltiva employee uses the clientelling app to provide information on suitable watches and upsells an extended care package. Completing the transaction in store, Ron is done. His holiday shopping mission is now complete!
